Your Donation Funds a Variety of Community Initiatives!

Funds donated through the Foundation will be used to address specific needs identified by the Board in consultation with school administrators, teachers and other staff, as well as parents and community leaders. The current focus provides support for student scholarships and grants, additional teaching resources and District facilities needs.

With your support we address the following priorities:

Scholarships: Offer financial aid packages for graduating seniors to apply toward the cost of post-secondary education. Availability of scholarship funds helps motivate and inspire students who otherwise might not consider continuing their education after high school.

Teaching Resources: Provide supplemental scholastic materials and update equipment; sponsor field trips and other educational experiences to enhance existing programs and curricula. Expansion of available resources improves the District’s ability to recruit high quality staff and offers students new opportunities for hands-on education in real-life contexts.

Discovery Grants for Students: Exciting program for Kendrick and Juliaetta SD283 students offered by the KJ7 Education Foundation. This opportunity encourages students to pursue personally significant independent learning. Each student applicant proposes a self-study project which helps to develop skills, broaden experiences and increase knowledge about a topic of their own choice. Grant recipients receive one-time funding to assist with exploring this interest!
